Beginner’s Guide to Sewing: Hosted by Mitchell Vincent
8 hours of hands-on sewing across two days.
Spend eight guided hours learning to sew with designer Mitchell Vincent in his Studio & Showroom in Kirikiriroa, Hamilton. This beginner-friendly wānanga will take you from fabric and pattern basics to cutting and sewing a woven top from scratch, made to by your hands and designed by you.
You’ll build practical skills in fabric and textile knowledge, pattern construction, garment illustration, cutting and garment-making, and using a domestic sewing machine. Leave with new skills, a custom top pattern to use again, and a finished garment you can proudly say you made.
